  • Hi Ninetto

I don’t have any non GH2 MTS’s to try but if you or anyone does please let me know. The clips were recorded with stock 1.1 firmwar, only tweek was disable record length and allow PAL/NTSC switch. I might try today and see if stock with no settings at all makes any difference but it seems unlikely.

Much discussion over at the Adobe forums with some polarized opinions. Some have seen it some have not. I have had the 2 cameras for a few months now and shot material without being aware of the fault. But when it came to a big area of lower exposure it really stands out so the shots are unusable.

It does seem strange there has not been more comments here but it is a pretty active thread over at Adobe.

    Cheers
    Andy

  • Looks like this is a bug with the Mainconcept filters used in PP. There appears to be a deblocking fault in the filters which needs to be fixed. Reference article is:

Post near the bottom by “willyfan”.

There must be others out there having the same problems. Only solution till it is fixed is transcoding.

Actually just realised that whilst this works it is as you say, labour intensive as you have to do it each time the footage appears on the timeline rather than replacing the whole footage.

Oh well, perhaps the export and reimport is the best option if there are many times the footage is used in the timeline.

    Perhaps something for CS7 or 8 or 9 or…

So many thanks for that Angelo, just what I was looking for. Although it is cumbersome it is still easier than having tho export and then re-import the footage.

Thank you so much for your knowledge and help!

    Cheers

    Bump.

Has anyone had a similar problem with replacing clips with subclips?

  • I don’t think Plurayeyes 3 is out for Windows yet?

  • No wishing to hijack this thread but I am having a similar problem. I have W7-64, PPCS6.0.3 and am trialing Pluraleyes windows version with PP plugin 2.0.7 (8433).

I am trying a real simple test, GH2 MTS clip with camera sound and Zoom H4n WAV for close sound. I put the WAV below the clip on the sequence, nothing else on the sequence and via Extensions run Pluraleyes. The returned sequence puts the WAV at the start of the timeline and the clip after it. So totally out of sync. Sound on camera clip is ok to hear the same audio as recorded on the H4n but pluraleyes does not even recognise the sync audio.

So simple sync not working for me either.

  • Thanks for the reply and idea. I had a search for online meetings and am trying teamviewer.com, easy to use and does not need to be installed which is handy as I didn’t want to put Skype on my edit machine, was a bit concerned about slowing the machine down even when I am not using Skype.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Yes that would work. Is there a way to move past the image though. Scale zoooms further and further in to the image but thinking in 3D space is it possible to effectively move the observer forward and past the image rather than just getting closer and closer.

Does it make sense ? 🙂
