  • Hi all, I shot a 2 hour video on a canon xf100 at 25mbs because I was concerned about running out of memory on my CF card. Clients were complaining that closeups were blurry. What can I do for future reference to avoid that yet still compress to standard DVD? I use adobe Premiere CC and authored DVD with Encore. Also what would you recommend as exporting settings? Thanks much for your help, -Andy

I have been dealing with the exact same issue. What I found that works is clicking the actual fade, then in the viewer window, drop the soft fader to about 7. When I did this, the flare went away, however now it appears that the text fades a few frames sooner than the other text. It’s still a hassle, but I would much rather deal with a quick fade than that flare issue. Hope this helps!
    Cheers.

I have the same sony cam that I use as a secondary, however, I think I understand your problem. You tried using a usb cable to connect your camera to the computer and the computer would not recognize it?
I haven’t used this camera for awhile, and I ended up with the same issue. What I did was I found a firewire cable with the same connector to go into the camera. Once I connected it, I was able to log and capture.
The only issue I have is the horizontal lines in ‘movement’ scenes (when watching on the computer.
