Have you considered a lens with internal power zoom? I find that easier for video vs photography. I’m not sure Sony has many good for low light situations. The 18-105mm f/4 with steady shot is decent.

128GB makes a world of difference in most of the programs you’ll use. Buy third party and you’ll get 128GB for a price that will pay you back quickly in efficiency.

On your text layer’s text controls, click the animate arrow and select character offset. In this example you provide, looks like they set keyframes for the Character Offset property (lots at first, 0 at end), set keyframes for the offset value (0% at first, 100% at end), and ensured the randomize order options was turned off (under advanced).

Those are people that don’t have an image, so their first initial is displayed. I’m glad the COW got a makeover and is striving to make this more of a community.

  • A little more info may help. What version of the program are you running? I’ve seen this issue a while back on the forum and it was blamed on a previous version of AE. It’s probably not a codec issue since it’s working in Premiere.

The selection of Sony e-mount lenses is not complete in my opinion. If you want a good lens for low light conditions with a servo, forget about it. You can get close, but it’s not like the options you get elsewhere. My guess is because Canon won’t help out here since they want you to buy their camera. This is my only gripe with Sony cameras. Don’t get me wrong, I still own several and use them heavily, but I have to own a bunch of lenses for different scenarios and still not have all the options I used to have with other mount types.

I’m not sure of a shortcut to do it on a specific track, but you can Shift-click the visibility icon on any video track to toggle visibility on/off for all your tracks at once.

Ha, and just realized I skipped into the Premiere forum instead of AE, so you may not have used keylight 🙂

Did you set keylight to screen matte mode and make adjustments so there were no extra highlighted particles around the hands?
