A class action lawsuit has been filed as well:
We have had a bunch of them fail in our edit bays and even had the GPU cards replaced. Some still have issues after a repair by apple and will need additional parts changed out for a second time. Just watch the activity monitor when you export 4K from Premiere and see it pegged out and over heat. Then take the same project into FCPX and watch the activity monitor only hit half way and no heat issue.

September 3, 2016 at 1:31 am in reply to: Security Update 9.2.2016 just washed my Nvidia Webdrivers away….I need to learn how to creating clone bootable in oSX 10.10.5 yosemiteCouple options:
First, start backing up your system daily with software like CCCloner or SuperDuper. Get a external SSD or put one into one of your MP sleds and have it scheduled to run overnight. then you can just hold down the option key and boot from it when things like this happen.
You can re-downlaod a fresh copy of Yosemite from the App store if you ever downloaded it in the past:
https://www.macworld.com/article/2367748/os-x/how-to-make-a-bootable-os-x-10-10-yosemite-install-drive.htmlSecond, read this link on options of changing the kext file to the new version of OS you now have since running the update:
(https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/nvidia-web-drivers-caution-apple-security-update-2016-001-10-11-6.201018/ )Third, wait for Nvidia to release new drivers.
Fourth, swap out your Nvidia Titan X card for an older approved Mac GPU till the updated driver are available.
Feel your pain as I went through it in July when the update hit. Had to swap over to a clone of my OS until the new drivers were released 48 hours later.

August 25, 2016 at 3:45 pm in reply to: Delay when switching back to Premiere from another programHave you disabled App Nap for your Adobe applications you have open? For Adobe apps like Premiere, After Effects, Audition & Media Encoder, get info on each application icon and check the box “Prevent App Nap. Also depending on your current OS you are running, go to the energy settings in System Preferences and uncheck “Enable Power Nap”. You can also disable this system wide through a terminal command as well. Just google How to Disable App Nap completely.
As others have mentioned, make sure you have enough ram allocated to Premiere in the Preference Memory tab. Also make sure your USB 3.0 card is approved for your OS and Mac Tower. I’ve seen older versions of the USB 3.0 cards cause sleeping issues with external drives and Premiere beach balls while the drives come back up.

August 8, 2016 at 8:53 pm in reply to: Premiere turning down volume on my background apps (like spotify)Something to try….If you are on a Mac, check your App Nap settings for Spotify and disable them. Get info on the Spotify icon and check the box to Prevent App Nap. Also uncheck Enable Power Nap in the energy settings. Do the same for all your Adobe apps. Photoshop and Illustrator won’t have the settings in the info window, but all the video apps will.

Any io hardware attached? AJA or BMD? If AJA, try upgrading the drivers to version 12.4.1

Sam,
Thanks for sharing your App. After upgrading one of our 10gig connected edit stations to El Capitan 10.11.6 and seeing the SMB slowdown, your App fixed the problem with one click. Speeds are back to normal.
