Proxy 4k Ingest Settings
New to the proxy workflow in 2015.3, but I’m editing an interview in 4k, created a proxy preset in adobe media encoder that was 1080p, ingested the footage, proxy says “attached”….toggle on proxy in the sequence, but my footage is still 4k when I toggle on/off? When I export it says its in the right codec dnxhd, but still 4k. I created the codec in 1080 + rechecked it in media encoder, so I know that’s correct.

blame adobe for not making this clear in the help files.
->Your sequence settings have to match the frame size of the original footage.
your proxy has to be evenly divisible as well. it resizes the proxy to the sequence size. adobe recommends putting a watermark on proxies because often you can’t tell which is which.scaling bug isn’t fixed until cc 2017.51% is as far as you can scale without updating premiere to 2017.
if your main media is offline though, the proxy will be auto scaled to your sequences and secretly render out to your master, ahah!
fielding, frame rate, duration, and audio channels MUST match
