    Okay, here is more specifics:

    I need to execute 4 different scripts that are made up of a conditional If/else statement. This is essential.

    These 4 states are dependent on the status of 2 checkboxes.

    Check box 1
    Check box 2

    Here are the four possible states of the 2 check boxes

    A=1. 1 on 2 on
    B=2. 1 on 2 off
    C=3. 1 off 2 off
    D=4. 1 off 2 on

    So I need a conditional statement that will execute a specific conditional expression linked to one of these 4 scenarios.

    something like this:
    if A
    execute script1
    If B
    Execute Script 2
    If C
    Execute Script 3
    If D
    Execute Script 4

    The only problem is that the scripts 1-4 are conditional statements as well.

    So I need something link this?

    if A
    if…
    If B
    if…

    etc.

    I’m working on an alternate solution now, but this would be easier.

    Are you on a mac? Apparently this function only works with Windows.

    You can also try stop-motion. Use the Print Screen to take a screen shot and move the mouse a little at a time. You can then import the sequence into AE. Then just dub the audio in afterwards.

    I think that is how Aharon does it.

    There is a function to invert the alpha. Then you could use this as a track matte for an adjustment layer that could color correct that spot.

    Also there is a plugin called change color to or leave color… One of them has a switch to show matte only. This will make a black and white selectioin of a specific color. This can also be used as a track matte or just use the correction options in the plugin.

    Not exactly what you’re looking for but some good info on Track Mattes.

    In AE 7 and CS3 you expand the comp window by hitting `(tilda, next to the number 1) then if the comp is set to “fit” it will display full screen.

    Expressions are only applied to a parameter. You will need to use some Expression controls to turn off expressions and other back on. There are ways to trigger expressions based on keyframes but that may not be what you need. But without knowing exactly what you want to do this is just speculative.

    Check the After Effects Expression Forum and search for slider control.

    Great Dan! I wasn’t sure, I set up 2 layers the same way to “see” any differnce and it looked the same. Having access to the values is great.

    Scales, I’m with you on that, I try to ease people into it. In fact I put together a follow tutorial to show how to add this rotation script and turn the layer to 3d with auto-orient towards camera on so that it works mostly 3d. Of course a special thanks to MR Ebberts.
