INVERTING Keying…i.e. Color Isolation
As I was not sure what to “Call” the action which I am trying to do, I had no luck searching the forums (and entire internet) for explanations on how to accomplish this…my apologies if it has already been discussed and would greatly appreciate a link to the post where it was being discussed (or perhaps the Technical Term for what I am trying to do would also help)…
Anyway, the action I’m trying to accomplish would best be described as ‘INVERTED KEYING’ or something like ‘COLOR ISOLATION’.
EXAMPLE:
Let’s say I have footage of: A Person walking down the Street, and that Person is wearing a RED BUTTON. (Let’s also assume that the RED BUTTON is the only thing Red in the entire shot).
So, obviously, if I wanted to Key Out the Red Button then I would use the Effects>Keying>Keylight function, use the Eye Dropper to select the Red Button, and that would thus make Everything Red Transparent….
But what if I wanted the OPPOSITE of that? What if I wanted the RED BUTTON to be the only thing that remains and Everything Else Besides Red to be Keyed-Out/Transparent?
I’m sure it’s simple…yet have no idea how to do it. Thanks for the help.
