Try time remap and use the right click to change the keyframe to a “hold keyframe” then until you make a new keyframe it will hold that point in time…

click the little wing arrow and see that show “effect presets” are checked.

Took some thinking but…
Here is what how I think it was done. Using multiple images from each picture it appears the images were mapped to 3D geometry roughly similar to the women.
Then using a 3D camera the angle of view changed to the differn’t areas. For some of the complicated areas like ruffled sleeves and hands the geometry was simplifed because you cannot see a parallax on complicated areas. But simpler things like the torso where it would be a round body you can see the proper parallaxing. This looks like it was a lot of work. Imagine having to create models for each scene then mapping the geometry…
I can tell you it is defineltly not just 2D compositing with layers on differn’t planes in 3D.
Cool effect.

You can just hit begin bracket and it will put the layer at the CTI.
Or just go into the preferences and uncheck the second option in the general tab. “create layers at comp start time”
Good Luck,

June 30, 2006 at 2:24 am in reply to: Andrew Kramer’s tutorial on Depth of Field for After Effects 7You need to “precompose” so the Lens Blur effects sees the “flattened” version of the gradient. If you don’t precompose the Lens Blur sees the layer color without the gradient effect.
The eye is essentially the on off switch however the data from a layer that isn’t visible is still available to other layers through effects in order to sample the values from the layer without actually seeing the layer.
So in the case of the Lens blur effect, the lens blur needs to use the gradient to figure out where the focal point is, but the visual need of the gradient isn’t needed.

Well, to track blur it you could do this,
create a white layer and add a maks the approximate shape of the logo and then create a new adjustment layer and place it underneath the masked white layer.
Then set the track matte to alpha track matte so that the adjustment layer takes the alpha from the masked layer,
Now add a blur or even a fill to the adjustment layer and feather the white layer mask if needed.
Then apply the tracking data to the white layer and even keyframe the mask to make head turns and such,
Depending on how long the frame is you could always use the clone tool, or even vector paint.
Good Luck,
Andrew
