I have also been experiencing this same problem. I’ve upgraded to FCS2 and render files in FC6 have been randomly disappearing. I can see them there in the Render folder – and actually play the files from quicktime, but FCP thinks they don’t exist and so I cant even reconnect them.

The settings match, One of my projects was even upgraded to FC6 mid project – the same motion files that were rendering fast in FC5 are now slow in 6.

I’m not sure that the PPM plugin will work with FCP yet.

2 x Medea RTR’s with an ATTO UL3D striped together using Apple’s Disk util.

I agree, filters are useful for making window burns etc. But can FCP simply output the sequence timecode to the deck? I have no need for a permanent burn-in.
