they are probably using a dslr. the DoF and the quick zooms give it away.

oh i guess i should have researched that one a little better. i think i was confusing it with not working on power pc.

I’m pretty sure FCP7 is only for Snow leopard(10.6).

What version of color and final cut are you using? With color 1.5 and fcp 7 you don’t need to bake clips anymore. Are you copying the clips you want to bake into a new sequence and then exporting?
You just need to give some more details here to get a better response.

I’d either get the MBP or the imac. The macbook is mobile and you can take it anywhere. The imac has a faster processor, bigger screen, and it’s cheaper(more bang for the buck). I’d make my decision based on that.

Looks like it could be an interlacing problem.

mpeg2 program stream from compressor. you can adjust the data rate and etc.
