You can probably use the “Numbers” generator instead. You’ll find it in the same folder as the “Time and Date” generator you’ve been trying out.

I’m not sure you want the layers to be all semi-transparent when creating this effect, that will just be cluttered.
Instead try masking off parts of the front layers to reveal what’s behind them.

Since Motion is a 3D environment you can make it do the parallax effect for you.
Organize our layers the way you need them, then add a camera. Now push the background layer back along the z-axis and scale it to taste. Next move the second-from-the-back layer back, but not as far back as the background and scale it. Repeat with the rest of the layers.
Now when you move the camera from side to side the Parallax should just be there.
For added realism you can turn on the camera’s depth of field.

    Have fun

    Oh my! I’m flattered.
Always happy to help. Drop me a line if you get to go to Denmark, I’ll take you up on that beer.

Have the balloon expand for the last couple of frames using the Grow/Shrink behavior, then replace it with at particle emitter containing just a few fast moving particles of a simple ragged shape that is the same color as the balloon was.

That’s how I would do it.

Motions tracker doesn’t do 3D, so try not to rotate the hand around the x and y axis.

    Hi Reto

I ran in to that problem a while ago too.
In Motion 4 I couldn’t get behaviors to affect the amplitude parameter.
Just tried it out in Motion 5 and it seems to work fine here.

It’s just one circle. It’s center is somewhere on the “y” in everyday, and it’s outline covers up the droplets.
Try to download my motion file. If you select the circle and look at the “Shape”-tab in the inspector you can see that the “First point offset” is animated with two keyframes, and that is really all that has been done in this animation.

A really simple way to do it is to make a circle with no fill and a wide outline, that covers just the droplets.
Then use that circle as an image mask, and animate “first point offset” to reveal the droplets.
    Took 3 min. to do.

    My motion file is here.

    That depends.
If you are trying to replace a face, then I think you will be out of luck with Motion.
Getting an object to match the movement of a face should be possible, if the face doesn’t move around too much.

You can use Match move and track two points on the face, that lets you match movement on the X and Y axes, rotation on the Z axis and scale.
