Hi,
To start with my apologies for my post wasn’t specific enough.
Let me try and consolidate.
1) First I need a digital clock on my video which will display the real time/machine time.
I have been able to achieve that, here’s how
a) Use the Text –> Numbers effect.
b) Choose Format -> Type as Time
c) Check the Current Time/Date box
d) Decide the positionAnd the clock appears on the video and ticks at real time.
Shortcomings – I would have like more options with the font and styles of the text.2) Second I need two such clocks on the same frame(all frames of the video actually).
The first one will display the machine/current time. Point (1) achieves that.
The second clock will display time from a different time zone. Now that is what I need help with. In this effect I have only the Cuurent Time/date option. Is there some way I can choose time for particualr time zone.Hence when I view the video I will be able to see two times, relative to each other. For example US and France.
Hope that clarifies my requirement.

Hi Harm,
Also wanted to mention that, the example that I put across in my previous post was just to explain my requirement and only a reference.
I am sure there can be better/worse examples as well. But just wanted to convey what I was trying to achieve.

Hi Harm,
Thanks for posting the continuity links. I shall definitely read through them. As for my little knowledge , I always thought that continuity was do more with a single scene. As in the various shots in the scene need to look identical in terms of clothing ,lighting, artifacts/objects within the field and positions of the actors.
But when the scene changes from one to another for example an INT to EXT then maintaining the smooth transition is more to do with editing it right. It can also apply for the same scene with two different shots one taken from closeup other distant or per say different camera angles.
When we see the film it looks , as if, it has all been shot together contiguously in the same roll.
I have uploaded a video for an example please look at this link,
https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-139852147417061275&hl=enHere there are two scenes one of the girl and the other of the man. When the scene moves from 1 to other the transition is smooth and one can hardly tell that they are two different cuts.
But when you look at my examples they look so jerky and evident as a cut. Whereas what you see in the film is what I want to achieve. Hope that helps in terms of the information provided.
Thanks a lot.

No Harm :). That wasn’t what I was trying achieve. What my question was , that like we have in films/tv/sitcom etc. When shot cuts to another, you can absolutely not make out the difference. But here in the cuts that join together in the Premiere Pro are so visible and , it is evident that the shot has moved to another clip.
I was looking to achieve an edit which looks like it has shot together and the change from one shot to another cannot be made out. You know just like in a film.
If Premiere is not the right software to do it, then could you just any other which might be capable of achieving that.

Hi Harm,
I have uploaded two videos:
1) First , with A as 0. the A video fades into B as expected.
https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1603176813544032315&hl=en2) Second with A as 100, as you suggested. But it again appears like a simple cut.
https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7531098882633135968&hl=enI have also put a snapshot of settings in the second video.
I still can’t achieve the smoothness that any edits should have one shot to the other :(.
Wondering why?
Btw thanks for all the suggestions and help.

Thanks for the inputs.

Hi Harm,
I did add the cross dissolve and on TV also it appears the same. When I increase the overlap of the 2 video on top of the 1st . The dissolve appears but the 1st video shows through the second.
Hence I am confused. I also tried applying the blend effect but that didn’t help either. Do I need to combine with some other transition.

Hi Harm,
Coming back to the question of crossfade. I have made a demo and uploaded the same. Please refer to link below:
https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7090101301335057324&hl=en
I have take care that I have enough handle from the first to the second. These are steps I followed:
1) Have both videos in Video1 timeline.
2) Overlayed sufficient amount of second video to the first.
3) Applied the cross dissolve transition. But if you notice the edit is still very clear and not smooth. I also tried with more handle, but then the first video would show at the overlap and then fade out.
Please let me know what else can I do to make the transition smoother so that it appears in continuation.

Hi Harm,
I know what you are saying. I wish I could paste the screen shots for the confusion. Plus there is no option for an attachment for posts as well. So I am not sure how I can explain.
