Ok thanks for looking into it John. I am rendering from the same preset so everything is the same and it worked before in vegas 9. I guess it is just a glitch in vegas…

did you try copying the event with the pan/crop settings you want and then selecting all the events and hitting “Paste Event Attributes”
I use that constantly.

So I render with this one originally and then i pop the file back into vegas and match media settings so the project is exactly right.
Then I make a cut or two and hit render using this exact same render profile.

I tried the JD design program and the file it created can’t be opened by vegas and when I play it in VLC it only plays the first clip. Oh well.

Yeah you are probably right. I have messed with bluff titler a while back and it was ok. Pretty easy to use but not as good as what AE can do. I have just put off AE for so long…probably should start using it.

Nick, I’d recommend reading through Vegas help on this topic. There is a button in the PP that allows you to match it to the media you are editing which may help you out.

Assuming the text isn’t 3d…you can do that with event masking. Just create individual paths over all the letters in your text. Set them to negative and then animate them out of the way over time.

The 3d tv is easy to do in vegas with the 3d tracks and PS of course. You can’t do the particles and lense flares like that in the standard vegas plugins tho. I am not aware of plugins that do that for Vegas.
It is possible but hopefully someone around here can recommend some plugins.

Steve, I read your other post about the Xf100 and vegas. I too appreciate the ability to have multiple smaller files combined into one event. With my AVCHD cams this is no problem because vegas combines the 2gb files with its device browser as other people have kindly pointed out. It is nice because I can dump all my SD cards at the studio and bring home to combine and edit. Takes quite a while to combine all the files but oh well.
With the XF100 I have a ton of 2gb files that need to be combined. With my workflow I like to be able to add media fx to one 15-20 minute event. I shoot greenscreened music lessons and right now I have to copy and paste an fx group to each 2gb section which is frustratingly stupid. There HAS to be a way to combine all this into one file for each scene! If anyone has used a 3rd party program successfully please post it here. To be clear we are talking about stitching together .mxf files from the canon xf100 camera.
