Would love to get an answer on this. The above post about “lassoing” the files onto the timeline is the closest thing I can find to a solution for this $4000.00 camera.

I tried doing this from the “project media” pane and also the “media manager pane”. I selected all the files and dragged them onto the timeline and they are still split events. Can you please elaborate on how to get vegas to see these as one event? Thanks

No real reason. I have been told that it is a good idea to break up projects into smaller chunks. I always assumed vegas ( 8.0 and 9.0 were buggy for me. 10 works perfectly so I am not upgrading to 11) would balk at a 2-3 mb veg file so I never took a chance until recently. It is a lot better to get all my tracks setup and do an entire project in one veg than to deal with multiples for sure. You guys probably already knew this…guess I should have started reading this forum alot sooner! Thanks!

Dave Wise pretty much covered it but I wanted to point out that I have done this before with pretty good results. Some things to point out tho are:
1. You have to key your footage and render out an .avi or quicktime animation with alpha in your nle first.
2. You have to check a setting in ambient occlusion to ignore transparency because it will affect the invisible edges otherwise.
3. The frame rate is locked at 30fps for textures in cinema and most video is 29.97 so your audio won’t sync up. I don’t know if they fixed this in later versions.

We are focusing on other instruments because we feel that there is a real need there. There are many great guitar lesson websites but very few sites that cover everything else. We will probably add that instrument eventually tho as we add more and more instruments.
