I using 6.0.6. (torn b/w upgrading to 7 or X) But, this happens quite often…..

We may be slightly on different pages.

In Compressors Inspector encoder panel….. there are 4 options:

1: Generic
2: SD DVD
3: Blu-ray
4: HD DVD

I am using HD DVD (1440×1080).
The average and max bitrate goes from 10 all the way up to 29.4 mbps.
This is what i’m looking for a suggested bitrate.

It’s Not Blu Ray. I guess that brings up a good point. Does it have to be blu ray?

Creating a brand new project has done the trick! Thank you! It was definitely corrupt somehow.

I’ve tried rendering small little parts at a time as well and that doesn’t work either.

Well, I’ve disregarded nesting and put everything in a new fresh timeline. It is still doing the same thing. Other suggestions?

Do you need a deck to capture as DVCPro HD or can you capture as that codec directly from the camera?

I trashed the prefs and it’s still doing the same thing. This makes no sense….

I’m not mixing codecs. It’s all HDV footage captured at prores 422.

Aside from the VBR… would all my other settings be correct? Anything else you would suggest?
