  • It’s a bug with 7.2.2 and 10.9.3. It’s well documented in this forum.
The only known fix is switching your render settings from OpenCL to Software.

Some say 10.9.4 will fix this — but no official word yet.

It’s been a while now… usually these large issues are patched pretty quickly. I wonder why this one is taking so long, it’s a HUGE problem.

    Not everything translates over.
I was able to get things like Marker Clips and Subclips from FCP 7 to Premiere CC by creating sequences in FCP 7 that had all the media in them, and bringing them over that way.

    Example:
Lets say I have 100 marked clips/subclips in my FCP 7 bin. Those won’t come over.
BUT if I drag them into a blank sequence, and import that sequence in CC, they will… in a way…

Sequences are your friend in the translation game between FCP 7 and Premiere CC.

The new MacPro uses AMD cards, not NVIDIA. How could this help?

Workaround on export is checking maximum depth or turning on software render rather than gpu.
    Slows things down considerably though.

Never mind! My exports are glitchy as hell! Basically pink lines and green frames everywhere.

    I have a D500 and am running CC 7.2.2 / 10.9.3 with no problems… so far…

I’m on a 2013 MacPro with 10.9.3, finishing up our last few shows on FCP 7 as we move everything else over to Premiere CC.

FCP 7 works like a charm, renders REAL fast (3.5 Ghz 6-Core — woah), and have had zero problems.
