  • Issues with Premiere Pro CC glitch in playback and export.

Posted by Andy Grieve on June 17, 2014 at 5:50 am

I recently purchased a new Mac Pro. Specs:
    Processor: 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5
    Memory: 64 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics: AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB
    Software: OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)

I am working with .MXF files from a Canon C300. I am editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CC and am now encountering glitches like in the images below. This is occurring in timeline playback and during export. It has only suddenly started. Has anybody else come across this at all, would greatly appreciate any help…

It’s a bug with 7.2.2 and 10.9.3. It’s well documented in this forum.
The only known fix is switching your render settings from OpenCL to Software.

Some say 10.9.4 will fix this — but no official word yet.

    Hi there Al!

I have the same issue with my brand new Mac Pro 🙁

Im very hesitant to update anything anymore.

Is there any news that Premiere Pro CC 2014 will fix the issue?

    Thanks Al

2014 does not fix the issue. OS X 10.9.4 will.
