….or your DVD burner is going bad or you got some bad media (dvd blanks).

Why would you want to put AVI movies on a DVD and not make them DVD (MPEG-2) with menus in DVDA? 13gig is about 1 hour of AVI video so MPEG-2 would be smaller and you can get the highest quality of a DVD.

HA! At first reading I thought you were trying to back-up your Vegas Project files (VEG) on a DVD. Gee, you could get thousands of those on a DVD! 😉

Got DVDDecriptor, installed it and found a tutorial at doom9.org

However when I ran it it came up with all the files chosen and when I ripped it it was the same as if I just copied the files from the DVD to my hard drive. Wasn’t put together that I could see. Still had all the BUP, IFO and VOB’s all in seperate files.

Sorry but I don’t know what I’m doing here. Could you give me some help please? I thought I’d have just one file with the entire program and audio.

What is VideoRedo and DVDdecrypter? Guess I’ll just Google them and find out. Yes, I have the disk. Is one better over the other? Guess I move the files to my HD and then combine them?

The disk is not copy protected and the fellow who made the DVD asked me if I could/would do it from the DVD. Then he doesn’t have to send me the original master right now. So this is all legal.

There’s rules for spefial characters in file names. You can’t use the registered or copyright symbols in a file name. nor can you use things like the /, \, *, +, and things like that. But you can use the lower score _.

Now using in a title on the DVD is a different story. You can use

Go to eBay and search on “boom poles”. There’s quite a large selection at some fairly good prices. Also some $100 range poles.

I purchased an articulated one for under $100 new with warranty.

In DVDA-2 I got a video a little over 2 hours on 1 DVD. Quality was pretty good except at the very end, some fast motion in the video showed minor blocking.

I just rendered to AVI brought it into DVDA. after I got my menus done in the optimization window I clicked the “let DVDA fit to disk”.

Yes, DVD is MPEG-2

Currently I’m using a HP light Scribe burner and it burns any brand of media I throw at it and have never got a return from a sale that didn’t work for a customer. Never got a ‘coaster” from the HP either.

Problem with Sony I’ve found is they’re too particular about their recommended brands of media.
