In my opinion the last fully workable version of AE was 2014. Unfortunately as a freelancer all the companies I work at have updated to 2015 🙁

    Sorry just one more thing.

If you close the window manualy it works as it used to. It is only when you use ‘command W’ that it goes to the next comp in line

are you trued puting in a hold keyframe? or if you right click the keframe or keyframes in question and try out the keyframe interpolation settings set them to linear, you could also change your General preferances and set the defult spacial interpritation to linear.

    I hope someting here helps

    apple_m for make move

click on where it sayes Lossless in your output Module

    click on Format options

under Compression type select something like photo jpeg and change your quality to High

you will then be able to play back your animation without it stutering.

Alternatively if you have got Quicktime Pro export it as another option

create a solid layer then draw a straight line as a mask stroke the mask using efect_render_stroke_mask then add loads of points move allong the time line create another keyframe for mask shape then mess up your straight line by puling these points out, then select both keyframes and rightclick and reverse keyframes so that line starts wigelly then straightens out.
