No….but with Adobe Media Encoder you can export to both simultaneously.
Just add two outputs to one source…

Hi Ann…
hmmm…
Multicam does work well…if you are say….doing a switch cut linear…then doing a cut down of that….it may not be practical here…as it sounds like you are working from a paper cut…or working primarily non lin….
how many sync clips are we talking about?
might be easier to make 2 cam/audio sync clips of each source…
the seq would inherit the clip name…
you could offset the seq timecode to match the ref time and then sort the project panel by tc or clip name…that way to make stuff easiser to find…
once you find those in the project panel…
you can assemble them in your edit….but still then use the multicam viewer to choose the better angle…in your cut….
whatcha think?

September 2, 2015 at 5:30 pm in reply to: cutting on desktop and laptop with 1 external drivehmmmm….
In windows….since it’s got letter based paths for local devices…
might want to keep the project on the drive…then import rushes from same drive relative to it, preferably subordinate, I’d think.
unless it’s windows functionality has changed…or you take the time to manually override it…you may not be sure what letter windows will assign….if you are disconnecting reconnecting the device…between desktop and laptop….so you want to minimize relink issues…
but I’d defintely hear what others have to say on this one…

also..i dont know if this will help or not….
but in your multi-cam edit…
add another video track….(so let’s say it’s v2)
you can even MUTE V2 so it doesn’t distract you while you edit…it’s just a work track…then when you need to get at something….
option drag (duplicate) that clip from v1 to v2
then flatten that clip…this will replace the copy with the source of the multicam…(flatten can be mapped to a hot key as well)…
then you can match that out to the source viewer…reveal in project panel…whatever…
maybe that will be a little less clunky for what you are trying to do…

Hi Ann…
Similar to the timecode effect….there is also a clipname effect in the effects panel…
so that would do it…

it’s been a while…
but I think you will have multiple double column objects for each category.
and then non double columns for the headers….

You can Option drag replace the clip… which might work under some conditions…
but I concur it appears that replacing with a 3 point edit will remove the existing transitions.
frustrating….
transitions should only be removed if there is not enough media in the source to handle the transition…

Hi,
in the effects panel there is a video effect called timecode.
for the clips that you use in your multicam setup sequence…
if reveal them in the project panel and load each of them into the source viewer (1 at a time)….
you can apply this effect in the source viewer as a master clip effect… this will allow it to propagate to all instances of it’s use in your multi-cam set up and allow that to pass thru to the multi-cam viewer.
also helpful is that when you don’t need to see them any more you can simply mute the effects at the master clip level… again loading the clip into the source viewer…and disable the timecode effects by unticking the little fx icon.
hope that helps some…

Hi David..
you might try this….
1) Cut your 2 versions in sync into a sequence on track 1 (with gfx) and 2 (clean)
2) Duplicate your sequence, name it PIP’s
3) in PIP sequence, scale and position both clips so you can them both at the same time
4) Nest your PIP sequence as the 3rd track in your primary sequence
5) so now you can see what’s going on on tracks 1 and 2 of your sequence6) cut and splice across ALL tracks rippling as needed to keep sync
7) you should end with a clean track (v2) that’s cut as needed in perfect sync with your graphics version
8) you can just disable the nest track (v3) to see the full screen at any time (i’m sure this can be mapped to a hot key)
9) you can probably mute v1 in your edit and it may help performance.does that help?
