Hi! I’ve been looking everywhere but u cant seem to find just how you do this. I am working for an ad-agency and we do a lot of “mirror cutting” = matching a master(clean from graphics and text) to an already edited ad.
We do this in order to then later on fill the newly cut clean clip with out text and graphics. I want to know if there is a way to play 2 clips in the same timeline at the same time in 2 different monitors in the workspace. One for reference since i need to match the other one to it. To my knowledge i cant use multi-cam since i need to edit one of the clips, not between them.All help is appreciated.

Hi David..
you might try this….
1) Cut your 2 versions in sync into a sequence on track 1 (with gfx) and 2 (clean)
2) Duplicate your sequence, name it PIP’s
3) in PIP sequence, scale and position both clips so you can them both at the same time
4) Nest your PIP sequence as the 3rd track in your primary sequence
5) so now you can see what’s going on on tracks 1 and 2 of your sequence6) cut and splice across ALL tracks rippling as needed to keep sync
7) you should end with a clean track (v2) that’s cut as needed in perfect sync with your graphics version
8) you can just disable the nest track (v3) to see the full screen at any time (i’m sure this can be mapped to a hot key)
9) you can probably mute v1 in your edit and it may help performance.does that help?
