Bridge does have the advantage of being system wide…as opposed to project wide….

but no MXF native support is a bummer….

That addresses some of what you want…but not all of it….

you are taking about propagating style changes across multiple existing titles….

particularly with font style changes, this can get tricky…

    Might want to consider doing

the text part of titles as a multi layer photoshop doc….

then using the various layers as the text portion of your titles in Ppro…

that way if you decide to change fonts…

you can multi-select layers in Photoshop….
    change the font…

    resave…

then it will all be updated in PPro….

  • First….

Brilliant!!!! Well done… I’ll be sure to remember this going forward. I’ve had to do this with corrupt media in the past. Never thought about doing it intentionally! Love it!

[Jesse Schluntz] “Ryan, where is the command for “remove unused” by the way? I assumed that was only available when using project manager.
    “

One way to do this is expose the metatdata fields for audio and video usage in the project panel then sort ascending…or quick filter it to show zero values only and delete….

  • Hi,

    some cursory thoughts…

    1) can you duplicate a source project, open it and remove all but the sequence you wish to bring over to the master, then use that as the basis of importing into the master?

    2) can you XML export sequences from your source projects, then XML import to your master project?

I agree that you should not HAVE to do this….only that it might help you get where you want to be….

I don’t have any suggestions as to the labeling….

    Nope…

have to have version parity and be installed as the suite so you get the “connector plumbing.”

if you simply want to import the whole sequence into AE you can simply

import PPro project in AE and then choose the sequence you want from the dialog…

this will translate the PPro Timeline into an AE timeline… (safe copy, your orig PPro project will be untouched)

    Herb….

since there’s no transformation or other processing hapenning….I’d think it would be ok….

I think the reason for the presets is not that they are tied to a codec.

Most ppl however, are used to the convention of thinking about video based on particular codec / resolution….

So it’s easier to say…this is DVCPro HD

then to say… this preset is: HD 1280 x 1080 at 1.5 PAR
