    No stars but you can add all kinds of info in the Metadata display of the Project Window.

    No, but you could rate them in bridge instead. Messy, but has icon view, sees (I think) all video types (yes, to XDCAM/P2 card copies.) You could use bridge in this regard, as a media clip/browser/database (no subclips or other good stuff.)

    Bridge does have the advantage of being system wide…as opposed to project wide….

    but no MXF native support is a bummer….
