I wonder if you ran something like Mac Drive on the Windows side that would allow you to connect via afp:
would that solve it?

so is it possible to brose thru the network on Windows as opposed to connecting to letter designated volumes windows is assigning them?
should end up with \volumefolder path (UNC) that’s more akin to the mac path
??

what’s your connectivity topology?
Fibre or ethernet?
Not sure what you can do about fiber…because in that case each machine sees media as “local” drives.
If you were to mount and connect the drives via ether…
then you can UNC paths and this should avoid the letter drive versus mac volume path labelling discrepancies….

Hiya….
Use the media browser panel in PPro and navigate to where your contents folder is on you local drive.
PPro will recognize it and allow you to bring it as a clip.

Are you using XML’s fcp or editing fresh?
if Fresh, you my not need to go the .mov route…..do you still have the MXF’s?

not versed in Prelude….but doesn’t seem like you want to transcode anyway.
How are you getting the files to the project panel? Import or Media Browser?
Browser may be smarter than straight import, not sure.
I don’t know about making Premiere “learn”
what extension are the arri raw files?

It might be a case of PPro not guessing the Pixel aspect ratio correctly.
when you left click the clip in the project panel, it will tell it’s attributes near the top of the panel (if the picon is showing and your in list view)
Right click the clip in the project panel and choose Interpret footage(or is it footage settings in PPro…sorry doing this memory at the moment)….this should allow you to correct it if it’s wrong.
then it should display and edit correctly.

I guess….my point on above…
unlike AE….which will add all missing if one found…
unless all missing are selected first in PPro…
only the selected will be relinked…
