I upgraded to Vagas pro 10 64bit from vegas 9 and what a difference it made.
My vegas pro 9 used to crash every 30 to 40 minutes of use. Also, rendering was always a pain specially when I had text.

I use vegas professionally and I make my living that way.

I only find one thing upsetting… I can’t use all the effects I had before including magic bullet.

Before when I used to upgrade, they would automatically move to the new vegas but not since it changed to 64bit I get nothing.

Is there a trick to be able to use my plugins?
Anyone?

I am sorry!

I am using Windows 7 64 bit.

I am using Vegas but I am running at 32 bit so I can use my plug ins.

I am using MTS files from my Panasonic HMC150 and I only render two ways.

One – MP2 files to burn on DVD for TV viewing &
Two – quick time so I can give the files to an editor that uses FCP

Any ideas?

Checked the Mem sticks… they are fine and windows 7 says I got 12 gigs.
But thanks anyway. I am starting to think this is a Vegas problem when running windows 7.

How do you configure Windows 7 64-bit to run 3GB of memory per core?
Where can I find the settings? I have the same issue.
Running out of memory on my Sony Vegas 9c renders. Even when doing less than an hour of .MTS files. I have 12gigs of ram and i7 processor.

My old 2 gig machine took days to render but never crashed on Vegas 7
