What do I do if my editing computer is not connected to the internet?
Thanks.

The only way I know of editing “audio” and “video” properties is to export them as a batch list and then import that into excel and change each file extension individually i.e. from .wav to .avi etc. and then re import that file back into ppro as a batch list…Depends how many clips you’ve got I guess, whether it’s worth the hassle or not.

I’ve read everything I can and while all the new stuff does seem great I haven’t read anything about some basic editing issues.
So, can you now:
Copy, Paste and Save transitions.
Determine a start point and duration on whatever your default transition is each time you apply it.
Batch recapture just the timeline with whatever handles you choose.
Adjust audio keyframing while replaying the timeline.
Cut clips on highlighted tracks only.
Scroll clips, enter in/out points and/or duration in the project window.
Import timelines and project bins only.
Thanks. My $0.02.

Re 1 if you’re talking about audio level you need to adjust one clip and then copy it and paste attributes to all the other clips.
Re 2 If you’re talking about sequence in and out and not work area bar you can do it in 2 keystrokes. Click on the desired clip and then use the default keyboard shortcut for: Application/Marker/Set Sequence Marker/In and Out Around Selection.
I changed this shortcut to Shift+A. I can’t remember if it initially had a shortcut or not, but it’s there.
Hope that helps.

So Graeme what was quad 2″? Was it a composite tape format or what?
I’d have to agree with you, I always thought that 2″ 1st gen pics looked sharper and had better colour resolution. Do you know if this is correct specs wise or not?
Thanks for your knowledge.

Shane, I’ve got to say that that is VERY strange. Surely this can’t be true.
I’d have to differ here and say that in all my experience and all the editors I know, this would not be the case for them or me. Only a minor point I guess but hey, if I wasn’t so anal I probably wouldn’t be an editor.Regards,

Is that what you want?”
Essentially yes. I can see what you mean and it is an interesting conundrum. I guess it’s just what you’ve been taught and grown up with. Why when the CTI is parked on a cut does the monitor show you the first frame of the clip on the right and not the last frame of the clip on the left?? Seriously, is this just the way NLE’s were originally designed or what?
