It appears to be a Toshiba (2nd video at 4:47: can’t quite make the letters, but Toshiba is the most likely match).

Lenovo W520 is a clear winner performance-wise because it sports an Adobe-supported GPU for hardware acceleration. Its support for up to 32GB RAM (4 slots vs. 2 slots / 16GB on MBP) can’t hurt either. Overall Lenovo is a better value and a better performer.

It’s a well balanced motherboard with the right chipset – I think you in good shape with it, especially if you use DDR3-1600 or faster memory.
I 2nd Chris’ advice on getting a separate media volume: the most common configuration (for that volume) is 2 drives in RAID0. If your workflow is fairly low-bandwidth (no multiple streams, no uncompressed or high bandwidth files) – a single media drive is fine. For internal drives, Hitachi 7K series are decent; WD Black Caviars are good too although WD doesn’t qualify them for RAIDs.

Programs, definitely, although AFAIK the setting doesn’t affect things all that much on client (non-server) editions of Win7.

Chris, I ain’t questioning you, just trying to figure out if in your case AME somehow gets a boost from the GPU. Yours is a very useful info that I am very grateful for, and will likely adjust my recommendations to my clients based on it.
Did you do the benchmarks in AME or in Pr direct export?
To verify if the CPU throttles down while on battery, you can run specific WinSAT tests – let me know if you’d like the info.

Yes there is a limitation in Pr but you should be safely within it:

Are you sure it’s not because of CPU throttling down while on battery?
AME isn’t GPU accelerated – only direct export out of Pr.
