I am just curious why Michael have 7 Kipros where he only has 6 cameras to record from and actually 6 kipro enough for him.

Love to know the idea behind it that my also be helpful for my reference.

Could you share with me Michael ?

    Thank you

    Hi All,

I am interested to know the kind of workflow MIchael describe, for my future reference.

Do you make one Kipro to become a dedicated master time code ? In which you don’t expect to record video to the unit.

Isn’t it possible to have 6 cameras with 6 Kipros, and use one of the Ki become TC master while also doing recording.

    Thank You Gerry,

Yes, it make sense Gary, different frame frate will make them out of sync.

Gary, we use STwo DFR2K-AR, is the model i use can out put converted speed too ?

And what do you mean by “converted speed” actually ? Do you expect Stwo send 50 FPS time code when play back ? Please specify this ,Thank you.

I gues i need more info before I give it a try.

    Hi Marc,

I expererience the same way with you. But i did in the contrary where i down convert 720p50 from P2HD to SD PAL in KiPro. At least we do the same thing, doing convert progressive to interlace ( or vise versa) and targeting different frame size.

I found motion artifact only on the LCD computer display, but not applied to all clips, as some other clips are OK. But if i play back the clip with high definition broad cast monitor or with SD CRT broadcast monitor, the clips are just fine.

Try this, play back the clip directly from KiPro to HD brod cast monitor.

    Hi GA and JG,

I heard it is not from HDMI out of the Canon. The guys get informed that there is a certain card ( he is not sure the name ) which is slided into the CF Card slot on the canon. And the card has HD SDI output where kipro will connect to.

April 30, 2010 at 5:23 pm in reply to: AJA Ki Pro vs. Nano Flash… Pros and cons?

    Hi Randy,

As you are not dealing as ENG , and you don’t need to climb the tree or run 10 Km/ H with your cam, i think KiPro is the best match to your EX3 . The job you describe is not heavy for kipro yet. We did the 8 days shooting night and days, with rain effect , moving location, shoot in moving sedan car, The KiPro is always OK.

Moreover..you use FCP, you will enjoy the proress workflow with kipro.

Only a small suggestion, having more storage modules instead of one , will help you to work faster. One storage module is being recorded, another one is being editing/copied.

Hi Peter, I see that you have kona card with FCP at your web, excellent.

For tape less operation we have 3 choices :
    1. KiPro
    2. KiPro
    3. KiPro

I have not try Nano yet, but i think this is also a good solution. But i can not compare them both as they are very far different. Nano in my opinion is tend to be a additional storage for your camera which is very small in size that stick at camera.

While KiPro is ProRess Recorder, A VTR ( video tape LESS recorder) , a converter, a central of your gear on set. You will enjoy on set when you have kiPro like MVP team on the face book. Indeed they love Kipro and they will order more.

Great Movie Orang Utan.. you are lucky you have been there before me. Let me know when you pay a visit to Indonesia, but bring your own KiPro . You may email me at : alex@mediaintegra.co.id if you want to know/ learn the clips that i already recorded with kipro from a few cameras
