No SDI Signal
Posted by Adrian Trent on April 28, 2010 at 3:10 pmHello,
I have been using my KiPro for about 3 months with no issues, all of a sudden my SDI output is not working. I am able to send and image out composite but nothing comes down the SDI pipeline. Anybody have this issue before? I have a call in to AJA support but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Ok
Never seen one of these just fail,
are you sure that the HDSDI is plugged into the OUTPUT?
that would be the bottom of the 2 shorter BNC connections.gary adcock

April 28, 2010 at 4:31 pmI’m sure that it is plugged into the right port. We prepped with my Phantom HD Gold and everything worked fine, got to set the next day and no output. The deck is recording just fine I just have no way monitoring it.
Thanks,

Then you cannot be sure it is recording fine and how do you know there is an NOT issue?
What changed from your setup?
you sure that you used the correct tap on the camera?
why are you working without a confidence monitor?gary adcock

April 28, 2010 at 10:10 pmNot intentionally working without a monitor, just got to set and the KiPro is not passing video through it. The shoot was relaxed enough that I was able to upload the clips right after we shoot them and check that they were in fact good. Talked to AJA a little while ago and they have never had a problem like this before. At least they are good enough to send me a replacement unit.

Correct input set on monitor?
Check component?
