You are right, Vegasaur just sorts your events by various criteria.
Currently, it can not sync your media by file modified/created date, but this feature will be implemented in the next update 😉

Grzegorz, Vegas Pro already has this feature, although it does not support all camera formats.
In this thread you asked about synchronizing by file modified date – it will be implemented in Vegasaur

Yes, Close Gaps one-click commands will remove all the gaps between events. It’s simple like that.

If you want to remove all timeline gaps and automatically move markers/regions, use Project Auditor tool.

The option mentioned by Mike, is effective only for new slides that you place on the timeline. If you want to change existing images, you can use various scripts. One of them is Quick Properties from Vegasaur toolkit: https://vegasaur.com/quick-properties

Vegasaur allows you to generate subtitles without a whole lot of work on your part.

You can generate text events from markers, regions, events, text files (SRT, CSV etc.). You select the desired text preset with predefined font, color, size etc. and click OK. And of course you can create custom text presets with properties that meet your requirements (Vegas allows you to create custom presets).

Every time you need to change font or color, you create the preset and generate the subtitles again. That’s it!
