So in Premier there’s no way to consolidate or transcode the p2 material? Like in Avid or Final Cut.

  • Can Final Cut 7 take in .aaf? I am trying to take a small sequence from Composer 8 to Final Cut 7, what would be the best way of doing this correctly?

Yes, I started a whole new project in SD and video resolution is set to high. See below for a list of what I have for trasncoding. I have tried both h264’s DV25,50, J2k NTSCi, and mpeg50. I will tried 1:1MXF

Hello I am running into almost the same problem with some footage that I just got that was shot on a Canon 60D 640×480 SD. I tried transcoding the footage to DV25 since it is SD I do not have the DNxHD option. I have tried other codecs when transcoding the footage but no luck it still looks like if it was interlace and my footage actually looks soft like if it was out of focus. I check my RAW mov’s and they are fine. The mov’s that I got from the camera are .mov h264’s. Does anyone know if I’m doing something wrong in the transcoding process, or should I take the clips through a converter but what should I convert these files too.

My coworker imported the same file into Final Cut 7 and his looks good so I don’t get what’s the difference between avid’s import and final cut’s import. He didn’t change anything he just imported the file and it work good. So what should I do.

    Thank you.
