Just ordered an Intensity Shuttle. Hope that does the trick.

I do understand the concept.
My job here isn’t to create the most precise, broadcast-ready color. I used to be able to use a Blackmagic Intensity card in my older computer (a Mac Pro Tower) to to to an HDMI monitor and view the picture full screen. (And I am aware that it is not the best way to go either.) Apparently I cannot do that without a breakout box. The full screen option is not really convenient for doing the work.

Not sure I follow everything but learning about different ways to multiclip has helped.
Thank you for your help and I’m pretty sure I’ll come back with more questions 🙂

That is exactly what I am trying to avoid; I did call the local Sony service center and got the quote of $270. I know it is possible to do the upgrade yourself, I’ve seen demo videos of the installation online. I just don’t have the actual firmware to install.

thank you for your extensive answer.
unfortunately for this I could not deliver in multiple formats. it was to be a single video file. 30p shot and delivered.

thanks, i was leaning towards 30p but wasn’t quite sure. it’s not sports, it’s fashion.

Thanks Ian, I appreciate your help.
I’ll leave it at that (btw., the AMA plugin works for other files so I think it’s right).
Beyond the third post it was more curiosity than need. -

Transfer 2.13
Browser 2.60
Latest XDCam AMA plugin for AVID
don’t work.“failed to import clip” in browser. it seems to work right until the end, the bar moves to 100% then i get the error.
I believe PPro messed those files up somehow, because I just found the .mov files created earlier with Transfer. I get the moral of the story, yet it doesn’t quite make sense.

Ian,
I still have problems.
XDCam Browser works, it copies files, yet neither XDCam Transfer nor AVID recognize the copied media.
The file structure looks correct.
I’ve tried using the Import feature to of Browser to rebuild the BPAV folder but it tells me it cannot import the mp4 files – gives an error message.I believe I’ll settle for editing this particular project in PPro, but I’d like to figure out how to fix this problem if it arises where I can’t.
Thanks.
