    1. no sluggish response to spacebar here.
    2. and 3. I can confirm….dotzero release problems that are annoying and actually betalevel as you say.
    4. it taught me to get organized in the eventbrowser: set in and out and give it a keytag (press “F” to mark it green, which you then can select or better give it a real keyword for this I-O-selection). but yes, it should remember the last I/O i set on any given clip. and i am sure it will in the next version.

u might wanna check our blog about a larger project we are currently in
    https://fcpxmegatest.blogspot.com/
at 5500 clips in the eventlibrary right now and FCPX still works fine (mostly)

will try tomorrow. I had 16 in C3 and it used all of them. I have 2 quadcores (16 cores with hyperthreading) and 16GB, need to test what´s faster once I have it set up properly….

Let you know how it works….

hmmm…I have done that now according to my settings for Compressor3.

    Selected “Services only”
Selected “Compressor” and set 16 instances in options.

C4 Still only uses about 360%+ when I submit a render and it even fails when I select “This computer plus” in the submit window.

  • Check our blog about a rather big project here:
    https://fcpxmegatest.blogspot.com/

we won´t be able to do it all in FCPX, because we miss audio-outputs etc, but until the last finishing touches we try to stay in the new tool.

we are now at 5400+ clips and it runs relatively smooth after a few hickups early especially with more than one machine used and we needed to work out a new workflow. by relatively smooth I mean it works….and FCP7 would not be smooth anymore with this project either. In fact I doubt I would be so far in FCP7 yet.

    check it out

  • uhm…there is a command “SHARE -> Save Current frame…”
that saves your still out of the timeline….

We made a new entry…we are editing the documentary now…moved to the MacPro.
If you wanna read my final workflow and how we managed to merge all dailies into the main project – check it out

We will continue this blog until the tapes are quality controlled with the networks and let you know what we find in good and bad with FCPX 10.0

  • Right now it looks like FCPX is not able to re-connect a file that´s been re-written. Even if the name/location/duration are the same. I hope they fix this, because it is a common procedure and one of the real dealbreakers right now.

New clip online. We are getting the groove of FCPX. It rocks pretty bad. We are shocked how fast you can shoot out such a clip.

Tony, I use AirDisplay. But there might be others. Just make an ad-hoc network or join the same Wifi net.

In FCPX is a command “Send Event Browser to second monitor”. Easy.
