I’m running AE CS4 in Vista 64 and have all my Trapcode (Shine, Starglow, 3d Stroke, Form and particular) plugins working fine.

What problems are you facing exactly? Installation or runtime? I didn;t do any special installation to get them working either.

Admittedly I’ve not done much with them in CS4 as yet but they’re all appearing to work.

    Hi,

I’ve done a few local basketball games over here in the UK and pondered this exact question. I even tried a seperate camera pointing at the live scoreboard and ensured it was sync’d in and cropped. OK but not quite what I was after. The solution I intend to try next is to create an After Effects composition for my lower/upper third scoreboard and have each of the scoreboard items (scores, fouls, timouts etc) linked to slider controls that I can simply keyframe as the video plays underneath. Will need rendering but it’ll get what you/I want I reckon.

OK will do. So ‘expressions’ is would be the way to go then rather than looking for a plugin?

    Thanks.

    OK sorted now.

This error only occurs if you use the auto update facility in th eapp itself.

Went to web site and did it manually. All updated now 🙂

You guys (and gals?) at Wondertouch may want to sort out the auto update version also though.

    Happy New year to all.

You could get around the perspective issue by using the Photoshop Vaniushing Point technique to import the power station as a 3D set of planes. Not perfect but you can get some small perspactive changes from a still photo that way.

Videocopilot has a video tutorial covering this if I remember right.

Sorry. What I really meant was I’m trying to understand why I could see the single flash frame in AE on the timeline when scrubbing at half res or worse but why it disappeared when I switch to full res and/or rendered it out anywhere.

Not quite an exact match for your problem but the last time I had these ‘fuzzy edges’ in an MPEG2 export from Premiere Pro (v2) using media encoder it was from titles I had created in the title tool.

I simply had the title on layer 1 and exported. Got fuzzy edges even though it all looked on in preview.

When I placed the title on layer 2 and a black video on layer 1 all was OK.

Might be worth a try if you are still having this problem and your Photoshop file has an alpha channel.

i read this as wanting to reverse the tracking so that the ‘painting’ applied will fit back into the un-tracked footage.

If I’m right then this is discussed in AK’s demon face warp tutorial over at video copilot and also there is a few chapters on exactly this in Pete O’Connell’s roto training DVD available at this very site (roto-ing the monument)
