  • Generating a “Live” Scoreboard

I occasionally video (HDV) local basketball matches. Up till now I simply announce the score at the end of each quarter but I’d really like to do better.

I would prefer a ‘live’ scorebaord to update after each ‘score’.

Does anyone know of a plugin or technique that might help? At this stage I’m just looking for a point in the right direction – if one exists.

Now, if it were football – oops UK speak! I mean soccer – I would simply create the few ‘titles’ in Premiere and use those but for basketball that would be a lot of titles to organise and generate.

I’m thinking/wondering if it might be possible to write an AE script that picks up a keyframe on a timeline (somewhere) and increments a number onscreen in a layer for each keyframe. Then re-use that script for each team’s score/fouls/timeouts etc. Is that feasable? If so I wouldn’t know where to start.

    What has every(any)one else done?

    regards

    Alan

OK will do. So ‘expressions’ is would be the way to go then rather than looking for a plugin?

    Thanks.
