March 6, 2009 at 6:18 am in reply to: Photoshop CS3 Animation – how to reverse frame order?Hey Mike,
Thanks for the response. converting to frame animation did the trick.
I was not however able to open the images together as an image sequence. when I selected more than 1 file, the image sequence check box greyed out.
thx!

Thanks for the input. I think the main benefit I’m looking for is reliability vs cost. Just trying to make sure the Wiebe stuff is reliable for Raid 5 or 6.
I’ve had a Medea 10 drive RTRX for a bunch of years which has never given me so much as a hiccup, but sadly, I can’t afford something similar this time around.
cheers!

November 3, 2007 at 7:11 am in reply to: Rephrasing a question – Forcing the removal of pulldownthanks. I’ll ring them up on monday. In the meantime, is there a way to manually set the cadence or flag frames to be removed?
cheers,

I’ve got a call out to the shooter to find out exactly what the settings on camera and firestore were for that particular camera.
In General, is there a way to force the removal of pulldown? What software apps will do this? I’m looking at Raylight, but I’m not sure if it does this or not.
thx!

October 31, 2007 at 7:32 am in reply to: P2 media 720 24P pulldown removal prior to final cutheya,
thanks to you guys who got back to me so quick. I realized that the newer version of FCP has a checkbox to remove pulldown on import, so that’s my solution for this job. Next week, I’ll be updating my firestore to the latest software and saving everything as native QT from now on.
cheers!

Hey, thanks for the reply,
I just shut off all asian fonts using Font Book, and now, when I paste in that text, I just get a blank screen for NEARLY the same amount of time.
I was able to get on the phone to Apple the other day, and they were able to re-produce the bug, so I at least know it’s not in my head… but they were unable to offer any suggestions as to how to fix it.
anyhoo… I’ll probably just drop them all in individually with FCP.
thanks!

Good thing I’ve got a long holiday weekend to do renders then, eh?
; )
as for turning the screen 90 degrees… You read my mind. That is the intended delivery for museums starting next year. Right now I’ve got to get a hard drive off to a curator with the file so they can see the thing without having to schlep flat panels about.
thanks for your insight!

Hey David, thanks for the reply.
I am ideed wanting to end up with a frame that is rotated 90 degrees from the standard HD aspect ratio (the artwork I’m shooting is tall rather than wide, hence putting the camera on it’s side.)
As for why I don’t do it in FCP… 5 hours of rendering time in FCP vs. Quicktime Player doing it on the fly. (which I will do in FCP if I have to, but am hoping to better understand why I am having this issue before I commit to anything)
thanks!

oh, I should add that I’m running the latest versions of Final Cut Studio, with all the pro-application and OS updates. Dual 2.5 G5 with 1.5GB RAM
