What version of Quicktime are you using?
I had this error using AE6 w/QT 7.0.2, reverted to 7.0.1 and no more error message.

Anyone know if this is fixed with the new 7.0.3 upgrade?

Thanks for all of the feedback, had to just use 2D space. (Looked just as good as 3D anyway)

I understand, however why would this only be the case with some, not all, of the layers at the same Z position? In other words if I set the Z position, then drag the image left or right only some of the lower layers (all at same Z) appear over top of the image.

Also, Problem seems to occur only when using the 3d layer controls.

Thanks for the feedback, I currently have an old dsr-20 that won’t play tapes anymore, but will allow me to convert S to DV so I don’t need a 3rd party card . Just wanted to see if there was a way to pull the signal from the sony one instead of keeping this broken deck on top of my machine.

A few years ago the folks at Transvideo were willing to let us test their mini prompter system before purchasing. We used it for a shoot, but decided against it due to display size, it was returned no questions asked, shipping charges only. If we were mainly concerned with portability/ease of use it would have been a keeper. We ended up going with one from Mirror Image, not so portable but a great display.
