yes. The “misc. 01” emitter library that comes with pIllusion 3 contains a coin emitter and a dollar emitter.
You can easily make your own – maybe scan in some money on your scanner and use it as the source image for your particles.

did you download and install the latest (Free) patch of pIllusion 3? It’s 3.0.1a
https://www.wondertouch.com/downloads.asp#patches
If you already have this update, then email support(AT)wondertouch(DOT)com.

Also, just try animating the emitter properties such as weight and velocity, so that the values change over the course of the animation.

It depends on what you mean by reverse. Many of the particleproperties can reverse themselves over time by playing with thier “Over Life” properties – menaing that size over life can be set to grow for the first 30% of their life, spend the next 40% of their time staying the same size, and then spend the last 30% of their life shrinking.
The smae holds tru fro many of the properties.
If you wanted it to whoosh out, maybe consider rotating the layer angle (not the emission angle) 90 degrees, and then try playing with the Weight over life – so it goes one way, and then goes the other way.
These are just ideas. You may need to really play around before you get anything you need.

April 19, 2005 at 11:20 pm in reply to: Particle Illusion Fusion DVD ROCKS!!!! – Thanks AharonMy apologies – I can’t address any questions today. My father had triple-bypass surgery this morning (so far so good), and I am spending a lot of time at the hospital.
If you have any questions that are AE/PI related (but not necesserily related to the DVD), why don’t you post it here?- someone else may already have the solution you need.
Or, if there is a problem with the DVD, you can email me directly at info(AT)pillusionfusion.com.
Thanks.

April 19, 2005 at 1:13 am in reply to: Particle Illusion Fusion DVD ROCKS!!!! – Thanks Aharonthe upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5 used to be only $99. I guess they raised the price.
Actually, to learn any of what I cover, you don’t really need 6.5, except, I think in 1 or 2 instances. And those are cool tricks, not meat and potatos stuff like the rest of the DVD.
Even though you can’t open the AE projects, you will be able to learn virtually everything I cover and adapt it to your projects.
Orirignally, I hadn’t even intended on sharing the AE projects, but I ultimately decided to share them since they would be helpful – but not necessary – at least in my opinion.
To be safe – Why don’t you ask around and see if other people feel they would not have understood things withou those AE files?
Thanks for your interest.

April 13, 2005 at 6:59 pm in reply to: How do you use your Paticle Illusion software?Hi-
Not sure what you mean by overkill – do you mean expense wise? pIllusion is totally worth the money. It paid for itself on my first gig.
I use the program for my Motion Graphics work, 2D animation, 3D animation, and just about anywhere else I can. pIllusion saves me so much time, I try to do as much as possible with it.
If you want to see some examples of my pIllusion work, you can see a lot of it in my reel at https://www.allbetsareoff.com/ in the reel section of my website.
Also, I just released an Animation Training DVD for using particleIllusion with After Effects. You can check out the site for this Creative Cow Master Series DVD at https://www.pillusionfusion.com/. It will show you how to get the most out of compositing your particles in AE.
Also, there are a bunch of tutorials at the wondertouch site which can give you an idea of what it’s good for, and how you might use it when compositing or with 3D: https://www.wondertouch.com/tutorials.asp
Hope that helps.

April 13, 2005 at 6:39 pm in reply to: ParticleIllusion Fusion – Volume 1 – Now Shipping!!!right now, there is a 2nd volume planned, but only if there is enough interest in the product (i.e., if enough people buy it, I’ll make another one). It takes a lot of time to make something like this…
From there, I’ll have to see how it goes. But I really enjoyed making the DVD, so I hope to continue with it for a while.
Thanks for your interest.
