hi,
I don’t think your install disks for the G5 will work what you are trying to do. You need to start-up from these G5 install disks (that’s probably the “won’t work” part in your situation) in order to install. So here’s what I would do: Insert the install disks and follow the prompts. Before anything is installed the installer checks your machine anyway if its compatible, and if it’s not you will get an error message stating that the disks are not compatible with your machine.
By the way if you’ll get it to work use the “erase and install” option
but DON’T FORGET TO BACK UP IMPORTANT STUFF BEFORE LETTING IT INSTALL.
It will erase everything before installing the new system. If not compatible it’ll let you know (without installing anything)!!!
Also check online auction sites for a retail 10.4 Box for G4 PPC, you can find some great deals.
hope that helps,

Start up from an bootable cd. Then delete the trash. Should work, I have resolved a similar problem this way in the past.
hope that helps,

Hi,
have you tried selecting your glyphs (heart etc.) through the “Glyph Panel”?
Go to the menu: TYPE….GLYPH… then insert your cursor and double click the glyph (heart) that you want.
hope that helps,
cheers,

April 16, 2009 at 12:49 pm in reply to: “Rounded Corners” Getting rid of the left overs.Hi,
what format are you exporting to? What’s your workflow (in which application are you importing your object into)?
If the object needs to stay vector, save as a AI format (or eps). Before saving choose: OBJECT…EXPAND APPEARANCE…then save.
Hope that helps,
cheers,

Hi,
just being on the hard drive won’t load the font. If you are on the Mac try installing the font using “Font Book”. Before installing the font close Photoshop, then reopen.
What type of font are you using? TT, PostScript type 1, Open Type, Dfont….?

Hi,
In regard to the “tools problem” hit the TAB key, it’ll toggle the tools on and off.
In regard to the blank canvas…please don’t get me wrong…..but do you have the visibility turned on for the layers (the EYE icon) in the layers tab?

hi Matt,
yes that’s indeed a strange error. Especially since CS2 and up should support the (.ase) exchange format for swatches. I don’ know if it helps, but it might be worth a shot.First delete the PS preferences on start-up: Click and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS).
Then open your document with the swatches in PS. Go to EDIT>PRESET MANAGER. Choose SWATCHES from the pull down menu. Then”control” or “shift” click the swatches you want to save, and on the little fly out menu (the little triangle) choose SAVE SWATCHES FOR EXCHANGE. Make shure the extension”.ase” is appended to the name of the swatch set.
hope that helps,
cheers,

Not sure, I suspect It might be an incompatibility between Google Earth and Leopard (10.5).
* Not compatible with Leopard 10.5
* Cannot load some models with Cyrillic or double-byte characters. In some cases, Photoshop cannot load models with Cyrillic or double-byte characters that can be downloaded via Google Earth.cheers,
