  • Nice tutorial Pete, thanks for sharing!
Would it be possible to post the footage used (for practicing )?

Sounds like your Illustrator file may have gotten corrupted.
Try to “PLACE” the Illustrator file in InDesign, export as an EPS and try to open this EPS in Illustrator.

    Hi Frederico,
AE 7 automatically runs in Rosetta, because Adobe hasn’t updated AE to a universal binary application (yet).
The memory adjustments Graham Jones was talking about , you can make in the AE preferences (After Effects>Preferences>Memory&Cache)
    Hope that helps.

By the way: congrats for converting to Mac, you won’t regret it:)

November 12, 2006 at 2:44 pm in reply to: My Set Up window is blank

    hi,
I had exactly the same issue. I could create an object, but the main preview window stayed blank.
When rendering, everything was there. I had that problem in both, the stand alone application
of ProAnimator AND the AE plugin.
Updating to ProAnimator 4.03 solved it (for me).
I’m running an Intel based Mac on OSX 10.4.8.

    Hope that helps.

  • After Effects 7.0 does not (yet) natively support the Intel Mac. It’ll run but don’t expect any miracles ( speedwise) until Adobe releases the upgrade to Universal.
I’m running AE 7.0 on an Intel Mac and a Dual Processor G4. Intel beats Dual…but as I said, don’t expect any huge speed improvements.

    Hi,
have you tryied to Ram preview it a 1/4 resolution (or less),
just to see if it renders all the way through?

    cheers.
