    Hi.
I created a .ai file in Illustrator CS2 but it now won’t open it, and displays the following:

Can’t open the illustration. The illustration does not have the correct number of operands for an operator.

    Offending operator: “XI”
    Context:

    [ 1 0 0 1 ]3000 1090 0 Xh
    [ 1 0 0 1 ]0 0 3000 1090 3000 1090 8 3 0 1 1 0 4 4 0
    %%BeginData: 9810004
    XI

Does anyone know how I can retrieve this file?
    Thanks!!

Sounds like your Illustrator file may have gotten corrupted.
Try to “PLACE” the Illustrator file in InDesign, export as an EPS and try to open this EPS in Illustrator.
    Regards,
    Adi
