    So you want the plain effector to scale the letters from the back side, if I read you right. By default they’ll scale from the front towards the back. I’m guessing that you used a negative scale value in the plain effector to make the letters go up, but that just causes the letters to, in effect, scale through themselves.

    To get around it, set the “Depth” of your Motext (Object tab) to a negative number.

    Example: 9050_motextscalefromback.c4d.zip

    Here’s one way you could do it:

    * Key the random effector’s seed parameter. Then move the timeline to (for example) frame 10. Increase the seed parameter by 10, and key again;

    * Select the random effector in the timeline and run Functions>Bake Object with only “Parameters” checked. Set the end time to frame 10;

    * Select all the keys and set the interpolation type to Step;

    * Scale the key selection to the length of your animation.

    Works fine here too, FWIW. I’m no a PC with R16.

  • You mean you want to render the back view? If so, go to the View menu along the top of the viewport and select “Use as render view”.

    Not exactly sure what you’re describing (what null?), but it sounds like you’ve put some keyframes on your camera.

    It used to be that you could just copy the Maxon>Cinema directory and move it elsewhere, but recent versions store files in a number of places. I’d just reinstall it from the discs.

    Go to the luminance tab of the material you want to copy from. At the top of the attributes manager there’s an Edit menu. Choose “select all” and then “copy”. Then go to the new material’s luminance channel and “select all”. For some reason the “paste” option is grayed out here, but If you use the paste shortcut (Ctrl + V) it will paste all the values.

    You can also save materials from the Material Manager and load them into other scenes. Those commands are in the MM’s Create menu.

    If you right-click in the time slider you’ll get a popup menu. Go to the Options submenu and deselect “Advanced Mode”.

    That said, you can select the keyframes in advanced mode, but you have to do it by Shift + dragging a selection.

    Did you put a rigid body tag on the particle geometry?
