  • Thanks, that was good advice indeed. I’m filming on a JVC HD100 Pro, with a Sennheiser ME66 mic. I’m the only one who is gonna film it though. I’d probably get there about a half hour before the doors open to set up at meet with whichever fighter. Then I’d stay the whole night as long as I’m in there without having to buy a ticket, cause I’m a big MMA fan myself and train as well, so a plus is that its a free event to go see. As for experience, I dont have all that much. I film often for bands, and do a lot of small horror clips, testing special effects and camera operation, but other than that, I’m kind of new to running a video service. I’m only 18, but I’m starting to expand it so I can make it my full source of income.

The specific tape gets the same reaction on any camera I play it on. All of my other tapes are fine on any camera.

Are you kidding me? If it’s terrible advice, go find an authorized document saying that copyrighted music is prohibited from all school use.

If it’s in school for student use, it is legal. The only way it wouldn’t be legal is if someone were to go take it out of school and sell it to people. There are a lot of classes that I have had where we had to make music videos for pre made songs, make soundtracks for novels, ect. The only “illegal” thing is downloading the music. If you already have the song on a cd, you can just rip it onto your computer and use it there. I don’t have any documents saying it’s legal cause I wouldn’t even know really what to type in to find them, but I can be sure that there aren’t documents saying its not allowed either.

I found a really cheap mic online, it’s a Rode NTG2, does anyone know anything about it? I cannot spend too much since I am in production of the movie, and most of my money is going to gore props and special effects.

You’re right, it does cost a good amount but thanks for the help. When I say broadcast sound, I mean what I have is clear, but it’s not that loud or deep, it’s a mic that belongs on a News camera. I need something for movies.

  • yeah, for some reason it still wont capture. It captures my hand held camcorder fine, but the JVC HD100 is having a hard time being captured, and all it is is DV. I’m going to have to call Sony and JVC. Thanks for the help.
