The image on screen looks bad. If you view different channels you can see where there is posterization stuff happening and areas that appear soft when they are sharp in the RGB mode. Totally baffled.
My co-worker helped to figure out the problem. I was trying to save the droplet to me desktop. The problem is my Mac computer (desktop) is looped throught a PC campus server and Photoshop wasn’t liking the PC thing. I needed to save the droplet directly to my harddrive (which isn’t looped through the PC campus server). When I did that everything worked fine.
The QT movies play fine on the G5. Once I go to export them as MPEG2 files that is where the problem occures. The encoding starts for about two seconds and then the message comes up…failed. Nothing more…no type of error listed, etc. BitVice just quits as soon as encoding starts.
