format is dv pal. before i upgraded to fcp 6 the digital cinema preview worked a treat.

i guess you’re right about the need for a faster unit but then i think what i’m asking it to do is not too demanding…

sorted…turned on mirror displays and fooled it, and was able to re-set prefs.

have discovered that the hasselblad will do what i want but each still is 40mb (this cannot be modified beforehand) and the battery life will only last for 400 shots.

am after something like a nikon or a canon. any ideas?

andy, thanks. but it still isn’t happening. have got 3 macs all osx and the short cut does not work on any of them. can you think of anything that might cause this? expose, keyboard settings mac system prefs?

this works well but is there a way to rename the clips so you can build up a bin of useful bits. for example, atmos etc?

sorry, did not make myself very clear. the short cut to add motion frames is ctrl k. this only works in the motion tab. what i want to do is be able to add key frames in the controls tab for generators and filters tab for filters. for example with g film there are 24 atttributes. if i want to change some or all of these these every 25 frames over 20 secs is there a short cut to insert keyfames for every attribute in the same way there is for motion keyframes?
