capture problem
when capturing video it freezes in the capture window for a few frames intermittently.
this has just started after more than two years with same set-up without problems.
i have
captured the footage successful using the same vtr onto another machine so it’s not the desk or the roll
trashed my prefs twice
switched firewire cable
captured onto several different drives
checked headroom on my machine
and cannot think of anything else. does any one have any other ideas?

Why did you upgrade?
If you are using 3+ year old software, keep an OS that it works with. If you want the latest and greatest OS, gonna have to get the latest and greatest version of FCP.
Don’t mess with a working combination.
