  • Is it possible to frameserve from Sony vegas Pro 8.0 To adobe Premiere cs3?

  • Thanks everyone for their help,

    to adam,
i have tried to save to an aff file but my after effects cs3 always crashes when importing.i thought it was because i was using vista but its the same thing when i try in xp.

i have tried frameserving also with no luck, it imports the file to after effects but no video is shown.

it possible to frame serve from sony 8.0 vegas to premiere pro,so i can just bridge it to after effects since they are so tightly integrated.

  • to john rofrano,

Im working with SD dv from a dvx100b at 24p with 3-2 pulldown at a 4×3 aspect ratio.

the uncompressed issue is when i render out avi from vegas with no compression and the custom drop down for Par is put to 9.098, it renders out to a different Par which i think is square par 1.000. but when i render out to different avi codec such as dv compression it comes out just fine.
never had this issue before but now i cant figure it out.
Anyways, i will like to gain more knowledge on different work flows instead of rendering uncompressed from Vegas.

    to Steve Rhoden,

im sorry for the ignorance on codecs but is that codec comparable to the uncompressed avi in quality?

Thank you both johh and steve

i see the avi file in the different par which is in square par 1.000 on the media player and also when i drop it into a vegas project timeline which has the par i need, which is 9.098.

i have put the same thread in another forum and they say it is a long standing bug that vegas has ignored fixing but what i dont understand is that this process has always worked for me before and all of a sudden it doesnt.

do you know if there is any updates for vegas pro 8.0 that will update without going online because of the fact my pc is an offline workstation.
i can download software though from my laptop.

    thank you

sorry for not being clear.in the custom tab for par is the set par i need so that isn’t the problem. And no i am not just using the uncompressed template.im using a custom template i used before over and over again with desired results but i dont know why this is happening.
is there another way to render out as close as uncompressed in quality?

    thank you in advance
