Here’s straight from Satish & thank you for your fine work!

“Debugmode Frameserver is now available with VP9 support (works only with Vegas Pro 32 bit… 64 bit version is not yet ready) and you can download it for free at https://www.debugmode.com/frameserver.

Along with VP9 support, this version has a couple of bug fixes for earlier versions so is a recommended download.

This version also adds an update check feature that checks once in a while if any new version of the frameserver is available (no automatic download, just checks and informs you if an update is available). This will help in distributing the message about future bug fixes and new releases faster. If your editing machine is not connected to the internet this will stay disabled, so no worries.

Thanks to those who helped with beta testing.”

Talk about good timing. I just came to specifically look for a frameserver for Vegas and this just happens to be the most recent post! Thanks for the heads up, gonna go try this out with Sorenson Squeeze.

Please pardon my ignorance: what is framserver used for? And when does one know that one wants to download and install it?

OK, so I can use it to transfer files to Premiere, when it comes time for that.

    Thanks.

Is it possible to frameserve from Sony vegas Pro 8.0 To adobe Premiere cs3?

I don’t use adobe Premiere cs3, but if adobe Premiere cs3 can import AVI files then I don’t see why not? Having said THAT, I can’t Frameserve to DivX, which also imports AVI – and yes I realise that AVI is just the wrapper.

Norman, it’s more than just that. You don;lt have to wait for a full render to do this. The idea of Frameserving is to serve “Frames”. Meaning that what ever you are doing in Vegas and prior to a whole hard copy render, you can employ FS to shuffle frames OUT of Vegas to another application. I know it sounds like voodoo but that’s exactly what it does. Using FS you aren’t actually rendering a full bodied avi.

So I can modify them in another application, such as After Effects or Photoshop, and then send them back?

Norman I’ve put a request out to have your question answered.

I use FS to get video into Particle Illusion. I render this this out and use it back in Vegas. Maybe I could FS FROM Pi back to a new instance of Vegas? Interesting possibility you raise Norman?

    Grazie
