Yup, that was fixed with 12.0.3

HDx hardware doesn’t support progressive HD media even though it does support 720p59.94 I/O. You can import P2 progressive HD media and edit it but you won’t be able to master it with HDx.

You should contact M100 or your reseller, maybe you can get a deal on an upgrade for your HDx.

Maybe you could export to QuickTime and choose some other codec to get around your deadline problem.

What is the program type (NTSC/PAL, SD/HD, 4:3/16:9 etc.) ?

Well, I’d say it’s the way that Episode Pro deals with M100’s black clips that is the cause of the problem. Do you have any gaps in your program? Maybe that’s an implied black clip.

Hold down the control and shift keys when you select the command.

  • The HD codec name is misleading; it can be used for SD also. Anyway it is the presence of the 2×2 pixel clip, probably not what codec it’s in. If removing the black clip helps, you should report the Compressor bug to Apple.

  • I think that Media 100 exports color clips in self-contained movies as small rectangles of the color (like 2 by 2 pixels) in the Media 100 HD codec. It seems that some applications don’t handle that well. See if you have color clips in the programs that fail, and maybe replace them with PICTs.

I’m confused by your description. By “set-up levels” do you mean the NTSC pedestal? What do your chapter marks have to do with transitions or titles?

I speculate that you have clips in different codecs, and/or your render codec is different from your clips’ codec(s), and that you are seeing different color and luminance levels when you export your program by reference or self-contained to some other application. If that is the case, try re-rendering with the same codec as your clips, or export to QuickTime movie with the Color Range set to whatever your other application is expecting.

I think it would probably be done the way P2 was; there is nothing specific to the HDx board that relates to attaching a P2 drive, even Producer can do it with no hardware at all.

It’s a little confusing but it looks like 4.1.6 is there now, https://borisfx.com/updates/
