Actually, I take that back. You could partition a 1TB drive into two 500 Gigs partitions and install Tiger on one, Leopard on the other. To choose which partition to start up from, simply hold option when starting your mac.

why a 1 tb, who the hell needs 500 gigs of room for a app drive? You’d be fine partitioning a 250 gig drive….just keep footage elsewhere.

also you can select from system prefs to boot from certain drives, if like me, you use a keyboard that is say wireless.

Also, computers just being released SHOULD be fine, and if they aren’t you can try adn get install disks from a friend with a similar system, partition your drive and install Like this, that should combat most problems instead of just installing tiger.

been to a demo, and messed with it on the shooting end, wave formed it. One of the flattest wave forms i’ve ever seen.

other than that, seems like a promising thing, but It’s not for every shot

  • to add to this, once youve dupped your layer, you can replace it with other layers say other boats, or anything your heart desires.

wireless network? maybe some one has ‘obtained’ a license and you can easliy obtain install dmgs from the web. I would also do the fallowing, 1 disconnect ALL the other comps from the network (or shut them down) than turn your station on (the one with the license problem) open up fcp. Then systematically go one by one until you run into the problem machine. If this doesnt work, Do a clean install of fcp and re enter the serial. If this STILL doesnt work, call apple

I’ve been wondering about this for so long since the first major reimplementation in the summer games in Sydney. My boyhood curiosity has been appeased. Thanks

November 6, 2007 at 6:49 pm in reply to: Multiple custom particles in Particular?

what you can do is line up your pictures as single frame images and have them all aligned back to back (if you have 100 picture this would be a 100 frame long com) you can than pre comp or preferably pre render this out, bring it back in drop it in your time line, and turn it off/shy it if you like. Than apply particular to your null or solid or what have you. twirl down your particle controls, select custom for particle type, and twirl down the custom settings (should do this automaticly) select your footage as the layer. use time sampling random-still frame.

Adjust your life, and particles per second to fit your needs as well as tweaking any other settings you may want

November 6, 2007 at 6:34 pm in reply to: generating flock of birds – particular?

more spicificly what you want to do is either pre comp, or to save render time pre render your bird animation. Than bring it in use it as a custom particle map and make sure your are sampling the entire animation and using a loop. Than you will have each bird represented as a particle (or other way around) what you than want to do is get your PPS up to say 30 for 1 second, and than set it to 0, have your life be longer than your comp, and animate away.
